Using The Harmonic Shield for Topical Application
In researching the technology of our Harmonic Shield products, I first looked at the materials they're made from, and the natural forces they bring to bear. It occurred to me only later that, besides their protective effects when applied to electronic devices, they might also have benefits if simply placed on the skin. Based on the known beneficial qualities of negative ions and far-infrared radiation, my expectation was that this could help reduce inflammation in places this would be needed, improve local circulation, and as a result reduce local swellings and congestion. Given these well and often researched effects, it was clear this would be safe - and so with a supply of Harmonic Shield patches on hand, I experimented. Here's how I went about it - and I'll follow with some of my experiences.
Using the Harmonic Shield Topically
To use The Harmonic Shield on a skin surface, remove the paper backing from two patches and, taking care to align the edges, adhere them together back to back, adhesive surface to adhesive surface. In the future I hope to create some cloth-and-stretch-material ways to help hold these units in place, but in the past six years I've had quite good success using a sleep mask, head band, small cushion or pillow in creative ways.
Disclaimer
I don't, and never will make any medical claims about these applications, or recommend them for any specific medical condition. I can only describe what I've tried, and what I've experienced personally. For any of the examples I'll cite however, I can say that if the application "worked", it worked within 20-30 minutes, and that with quite remarkable consistency, the target sympton simply "went away". There's really no other way to describe it, and this has been quite consistent !
What I've Tried
As noted, based on the materials in The Harmonic Shield and the forces they emit, my expectation was that the patches could help reduce local inflammation where needed, improve local circulation, and therefore help reduce local swellings and congestion.
Beginnings - and Aftermath - of Bronchitis
My first experiment was modest, but also striking and impressive. I'd just had bronchitis, and in the aftermath, had a persistent "tickle cough", and what felt like slight constriction of my upper airways - the kind of cough where, anytime you try to take a deep breath, you need to cough.
This had been going on for days, and would happen especially at night, costing me sleep. The place in my chest where I could feel the cough trigger was also slightly painful, as if there might still be congestion there. l used four of my doubled patch units over this spot - this many were needed to cover it - and held them in place with a pillow.
To my surprise and relief, after 20-25 minutes of this, the tickle cough, and also the discomfort just went away, and I was able to sleep through the night. The tickle cough was better the next day, but returned again at bedtime. Nevertheless, the treatment worked excellently again, in the same length of time. After one more night of this the tickle cough stopped, and I recovered the rest of the way from my bronchitis on my own.
I'm very familiar with bronchitis - I had it seriously and chronically as a child, and if I get sick as an adult, it's still almost always in this part of my body. As a retired RN, I know pretty much "every measure known to God and man" (resource), and when I start to feel even the beginnings of congestion, constriction or discomfort in my airways, I turn to them early. Having now used this "patches" remedy a half dozen times through the years, I can report that, together with these measures, it's gave me relief every time !
Beginning Sore Throat
Another striking success for this application has been with sore throats in their early stages. My first experience with this was fairly extreme. There's a certain kind of sore throat that's really quite painful - if you've had one, you'll know what I mean when I say that, when you try to swallow, it feels like you have sharp rocks in your throat. I had one of these, that came on suddenly, with swollen glands as well. Besides other measures I know to use, I went to the patch units immediately - one on either side of the most painful area, and one each over the glands on both sides under my jaw. I held these in place with a silk scarf and lay down in bed.
This time the effect was dramatic : again in just 20-30 minutes, the pain subsided and together with the swollen glands, just "went away". I continued with other measures and repeated the procedure in the evening, but the sore throat never got more deeply established, and I felt as if I'd dodged a bullet. I've had this kind of sore throat perhaps three times more in six years, and applied the patches in the same way with success.
Post Nasal Drip and Sinuses
This is another condition I had chronically in childhood, and which, if I'm careless with sweets or eat too much dairy or cheese, revisits me. Again, I have more measures to apply (resource), and use them ; but the Harmonic Shield doubled patch has become a mainstay. It's a bit awkward, but I've learned to use the patches on my forehead, and, depending on the sinus(es) affected, either on my eyes or to either side of my nose. I use a sleep mask to hold the units in place (a stretch headband could also work). Again the effects have been consistently fast and successful, never needing more than 30 minutes to clear a sinus. Typically, I feel any blockage first loosen and drain, then disappear - again in my experience, it just "goes away".
Swollen Glands
I've never used these patch units for a swollen gland, that it didn't resolve within 30 minutes.
Outer and Middle Ear Inflammation
There was also a time in my life when I had swellings and pain in my ears. There was seldom drainage or discharge, but it recurred often, sometimes for weeks at a time. I came to see connections to eating too much sweets, and to moisture in my ears after showers, and eventually I dealt with these things. But until I realized them, the doubled patch unit gave me at least temporary relief, virtually without fail.
Discomfort, Occipital Part of the Head
As I've learned about the health effects of EMF, I also came to learn the effects of high intensity blue light from computer screens, particularly on melatonin levels. I learned too, in passing, that the visual center of the brain is at the back, or occipital part of the head, and this gave me a thought. At the time, we were learning a new electronic charting system at work, requiring radical increases in screen time there. I'd noticed that I was having persistent discomfort at the back of my own head, particularly after a long evening shift. This was not quite pain, but definite discomfort, and at one point I had the thought : what if all this increased screen time is irritating this visual center area, producing subtle irritation, even some degree of inflammation and swelling there ? I eventually learned about blue light reducing glasses for computer use, and began using them with good results. But again, I also experimented with my Harmonic Shield patch units, held in place with a sleep mask turned around backwards ; and again the results were excellent, with good relief in the same short time period.
Caveats
As I've described above, symptoms have causes, and may need several measures for relief. Beyond symptoms, it's also important to learn the causes of health issues you may have, and be sure you deal with these. At times this may mean medical diagnosis, and nothing should be assumed. Holistic measures are a blessing, and in some cases may be all you need. There can also be times when they're not enough, when conventional diagnosis and treatment are absolutely needed, and can even save your life. My advice is to find both conventional and holistic practitioners you can trust, and keep both close.
You'll also notive that the symptoms I've described and had success with with my Harmonic Shield application units are all for relatively mild symptoms, or for ones that are just beginning. This said, I've found them very helpful, repeatedly - and I think you may too !
